Sophie Buntin

Attorney

Sophie is originally from Memphis, TN. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Sophie pursued her Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree at the University of Tennessee College of Law. She graduated summa cum laude, specializing in business transactions. Sophie was inducted into the prestigious Order of the Coif, a recognition bestowed upon outstanding law graduates. Additionally, she served as a Senior Acquisitions Editor for the Tennessee Journal of Business Law.

Sophie began her career as an Associate at a prominent full-service law firm in Nashville. In this role, she assisted clients in business transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and general business matters including formation and structure and contractual drafting, and helping clients navigate licensure requirements in highly regulated industries.

Sophie is actively involved in the community, including The Family Center, a nonprofit organization, serving on University Tennessee, Haslam College of Business Young Alumni Board, and a participant in the Young Leaders Council 2022 Fall Cohort. Sophie is a member of both the Tennessee Bar Association and the Nashville Bar Association.

In her leisure time, Sophie is a devoted fan of the University of Tennessee Volunteers, passionately cheering on her beloved team. She enjoys scuba diving and spending time with family and friends, and especially her husband, John, their daughter and two English Labs, Bear and Rusty.

Courtney Hall

Legal Project Manager

Courtney grew up in Kennewick, Washington. Her dedication to academics earned her the prestigious Gonzaga University Regents Scholarship. In 2019, she proudly graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Education in kinesiology and physical education.

Courtney’s exceptional leadership qualities and dedication to improving the health of society have been recognized by her peers and community. She received the SHAPE Washington Emerging Leader Award for making a tremendous positive impact on all Washington state students to become healthy and physically literate adults.

In her spare time, Courtney enjoys playing tennis and pickleball and is on volleyball leagues around Nashville. She attends community workout classes throughout the city, attends country music concerts, and has a passion for traveling and learning about different cultures.

Becca Hazard

Office Manager

Becca holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration as well as a Master's degree in Accountancy, both from Baylor University. As a Certified Public Accountant, Becca brings her demonstrated expertise in financial management and accounting principles to her role as Office Manager.

Becca is actively involved in her children's education, serving on the PTO Board at their elementary school and teaches Sunday School at church. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Rob, and their four kids, baking, working out and reading.

Rob Hazard

Attorney & Founder

Rob grew up in Tullahoma, TN. He is a highly accomplished attorney with a diverse background and a strong commitment to his profession and community. Rob holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the University of Tennessee, a Master of Business Administration from Middle Tennessee State University, and a Juris Doctor from Saint Louis University.

Rob actively participates in various legal associations, including memberships in the American Bar Association, Tennessee Bar Association, Nashville Bar Association, National Association of Estate Planners & Councils, Tennessee Society of CPAs, and Estate Planning Council of Middle Tennessee.

Rob holds the distinction of Accredited Estate Planner and Estate Planning Law Specialist. He has been honored for his exceptional work and listed as one of The Best Lawyers in America © for Trusts and Estates. Additionally, Rob's talent and dedication have been acknowledged by Mid-South Super Lawyers magazine, which named him a Mid-South Rising Star in Estates & Probate.

Rob formerly served as an Adjunct Professor at Belmont University, teaching Estate Planning. His leadership and community involvement includes Nashville Emerging Leaders, Leadership Brentwood, and Cheekwood Legal Council.

In his leisure time, Rob enjoys spending time with his wife, Becca, and their four children, golfing, and playing with his Wheaten terrier, Frankie.

Hannah Jones

Client Success Specialist

Hannah joins our team as a Client Success Specialist, bringing her exceptional relationship-building and organizational expertise. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Middle Tennessee State University. Passionate about environmental conservation, she actively volunteers for Tennessee Land Trust to protect green spaces. Hannah grew up in Nashville and played volleyball through high school. Outside of work, Hannah enjoys hiking, cooking, reading and watching movies.

Tommy Kinney

Attorney

Originally from Douglasville, Georgia, Tommy grew up in west Georgia before pursuing higher education and a career in law and business. He earned his undergraduate degrees from the University of Georgia, receiving a Bachelor of Business Administration in both Marketing and Risk Management & Insurance. While at UGA, Tommy served as Vice President of his fraternity and led canned food drives benefiting the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia, reflecting an early commitment to leadership and community service.

Tommy went on to attend Georgia State University College of Law, where he focused his studies on business transactions and tax law. During law school, he participated in the Health Law Partnership (HeLP) Clinic, assisting low-income families with accessing essential health benefits. He also worked in the Tax Law Clinic, helping individuals file tax returns and resolve disputes with the IRS and state departments of revenue.

In addition to his legal education, Tommy holds a Master of Business Administration from Providence College, which he completed with honors while living in Providence, Rhode Island.

Professionally, Tommy is licensed to practice law in both Georgia and Tennessee and is also a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Tennessee, bringing a unique blend of legal and financial expertise to his practice.

Outside of work, Tommy spends most of his time with his family and values time away from the office focused on balance, relationships, and community.

Eric Scott

Attorney

Eric grew up in the small town of East Palestine, Ohio. Eric holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from West Virginia University and a Juris Doctor from Valparaiso University School of Law. He spent most of his career in the Chicagoland area until moving to Tennessee in the fall of 2021. Eric is licensed to practice law in Ohio, Illinois and Tennessee. He is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association and Williamson County Bar Association.

Outside of work, Eric enjoys spending time with his wife and two dogs, exercising, and playing softball.

Cameron Waltman

Attorney

Originally from Clarksville, Tennessee, Cameron Waltman brings a strong foundation in business, law, and leadership to Hazard Law. Cameron earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and Legal Studies from Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York, where she was also a member of the women’s golf team competing in the Colonial Athletic Association.

Cameron went on to receive her Juris Doctor from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. While in law school, she served on the executive board of the Public Action Law Society, reflecting her commitment to public service and advocacy.

Beyond her professional work, Cameron enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, listening to live music, and collecting vinyl records.

Elaheh Wiles

Attorney

Elaheh is originally from Wichita, KS. She graduated from Wake Forest University, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics and International Affairs with a double minor in Humanities and Sociology. Elaheh went on to earn her Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree at Belmont University College of Law, where she served as Executive Director of the Belmont Legal Aid Society.

Elaheh began her legal career at Paramount Global, where she served as Counsel in the Business and Legal Affairs Department. In this role, she provided strategic legal advice on a range of matters, contributing to the success of the company's operations.

Outside of work, Elaheh enjoys spending time with her husband and their German Shepherd, Charlie. Her favorite leisure activities include boxing, cooking, gardening and singing.
