Meet Our Team

Sophie’s practice focuses on estate planning and business law. She works closely with families and business owners to create customized, practical plans designed to protect their assets, preserve their wealth, and provide clarity and peace of mind for future generations. She also works with clients to prepare prenuptial agreements that reduce future uncertainty during an exciting life transition.

Sophie is a proud Tennessee native who has lived in all 3 regions of the state. She earned an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and her J.D. University of Tennessee Winston College of Law, where she graduated summa cum laude and focused her legal studies on business transactions.

Sophie began her legal career at a prominent full-service firm in Nashville where she primarily assisted clients in complex business transactions. She now applies the same attention to detail, strategic perspective, and careful drafting to her estate planning and business matters at Hazard Law.

Outside the office, Sophie can be found spending time with her family and friends, chasing after her young children, and unwinding with the occasional reality TV show or good fiction book.

Courtney is the person at Hazard Law who makes sure client matters stay organized and on track. From the first intake call through the close of a matter, she coordinates communication between clients, attorneys, and third parties, manages workflows and deadlines, and serves as a steady point of contact for families navigating an unfamiliar process. Before joining Hazard Law, Courtney spent several years in client-facing roles in insurance and financial services, where she built a strong foundation in account management, client communication, and keeping complex processes running under real deadlines. Courtney earned her Bachelor of Education from Gonzaga University, graduating magna cum laude, and received the SHAPE Washington Emerging Leader Award for her contributions to health education in Washington State.

Becca holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration as well as a Master's degree in Accountancy, both from Baylor University. As a Certified Public Accountant, Becca brings her demonstrated expertise in financial management and accounting principles to her role as Office Manager.

Becca is actively involved in her children's education, serving on the PTO Board at their elementary school and teaches Sunday School at church. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Rob, and their four kids, baking, working out and reading.

Rob founded Hazard Law because he saw a gap most firms don't fill: estate and business planning that accounts for both the legal documents and the tax reality behind them. As an attorney and CPA, he builds plans that protect families and business owners from unnecessary risks, taxes and uncertainty. His credentials reflect that integrated focus. Rob is an Accredited Estate Planner and an Estate Planning Law Specialist, two designations that require demonstrated competency beyond bar admission. He has been recognized in Super Lawyers and The Best Lawyers in America for Trusts and Estates and previously taught estate planning as an adjunct professor at Belmont University. He lives in Brentwood with his wife, Becca, their four children and Wheaten terrier, Frank the Tank. Outside the office, you are likely to find Rob enjoying time with his family, rooting for the Tennessee Vols or listening to live music.

Hannah is often the first voice a new client hears at Hazard Law, and she takes that seriously. Her role is to make the early stages of working with the firm feel clear and welcoming: answering questions, walking through next steps, and making sure nothing gets lost between the initial inquiry and the start of the legal work. She earned her B.S. in Business Administration from MTSU, grew up in Nashville, and is passionate about environmental conservation. Hannah volunteers with Tennessee Land Trust to help protect green spaces across the state. Outside work, she hikes, cooks, reads, and watches more movies than she probably should.

In addition to being a practicing attorney, Tommy spent years as a CPA, first at KPMG advising closely held business clients, then at EY in private client services. That background changes how he approaches estate planning and business law. He is not just reviewing documents through a legal lens; he is thinking about ownership structure, tax exposure, and the financial decisions that make a plan function the way it is supposed to.Tommy’s practice at Hazard Law covers estate planning, probate, and business law for individuals, families, and business owners in Tennessee. He holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia, a J.D. from Georgia State University College of Law with a focus on business transactions and tax, and an MBA from Providence College. He is a licensed attorney and CPA. Originally from Georgia, Tommy is a Bulldogs fan who values time with his wife, son, daughter and golden retriever (Teddy) outside the office.

Lilly serves as a Client Success Specialist at Hazard Law where she plays an important role in creating a welcoming, organized, and supportive experience for every client. She works closely with the legal team to help ensure communication stays clear, daily operations run smoothly, and clients feel informed and cared for throughout their experience with the firm.

Lilly grew up in Wisconsin and went on to become a student athlete at Belmont University, where she played volleyball while earning her degree in Business Administration with a minor in Legal Studies. During her time at Belmont University, she received the following honors and achievements:
- Achieved Dean’s List recognition every semester during her time at Belmont University
- Character Award from Belmont Athletics

Outside of work, Lilly enjoys staying active through working out, discovering new restaurants and trying different foods, baking, and spending time outdoors.

Eric focuses on the work that happens at both ends of the estate planning process: helping clients build plans that reflect what they are actually trying to accomplish, and guiding their families through probate and trust administration when a plan has to be carried out. With over a decade of experience, Eric spent most of his early career practicing in the Chicagoland area, where he advised individuals, families, and business owners on estate planning, trust administration, and related tax and business matters.

He brought that depth to Tennessee in 2021 and is licensed in Tennessee, Illinois, and Ohio.Eric is methodical by nature, which matters in probate and estate administration work, where families are often navigating an unfamiliar process under real emotional pressure. His approach is to make that process legible: explaining what needs to happen, in what order, and why, so executors and families can focus on what matters rather than trying to figure out the system on their own. He grew up in the small town of East Palestine, Ohio. On weekends, Eric spends time with his dog, a Newfoundland Poodle mix named Jaxon, stays active through fitness and softball, and keeps up with Pittsburgh sports as a longtime Steelers, Penguins, and Pirates fan.

Originally from Clarksville, Tennessee, Cameron Waltman brings a strong foundation in business, law, and leadership to Hazard Law. Cameron earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and Legal Studies from Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York, where she was also a member of the women’s golf team competing in the Colonial Athletic Association.

Cameron went on to receive her Juris Doctor from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. While in law school, she served on the executive board of the Public Action Law Society, reflecting her commitment to public service and advocacy.

Beyond her professional work, Cameron enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, listening to live music, and collecting vinyl records.

Elaheh's practice sits at the intersection of estate planning and business law, which is the exact avenue where many of her clients find themselves. Families need an attorney who not only understands the intricacies of the estate planning documents being prepared but also sees the bigger picture of how those documents interact with the financial and business interests behind them. Business owners need counsel who can help structure their company and make sure that structure works cohesively with their estate plan.

Before joining Hazard Law, Elaheh served as legal counsel at Paramount Global, where she negotiated and managed complex agreements across creative, production, and digital departments. That high-volume, detail-intensive contract background is directly relevant to the business law work she does today and gave her a strong sense of what well-drafted agreements actually need to accomplish.

Elaheh earned her B.A. from Wake Forest University and her J.D. from Belmont University College of Law, where she led the Belmont Legal Aid Society.

She lives in Nashville with her husband, son, and their German Shepherd, Charlie Daniels. Outside the office, Elaheh boxes, gardens, and sings.
